The dog bed is manufactured in Germany from tested materials. The decorative cover is an upholstery fabric made from 100% recycled polyester that feels soft and remains exceptionally hard-wearing with over 55,000 abrasion cycles and top ratings for lightfastness and rub fastness. Inner cover and filling are made from polyester; the filling uses 3D-crimped siliconized hollow fibers, as found in premium bedding, to provide breathability, insulation and long-lasting loft. The Ortho mattress features a sandwich core of special polyurethane foams, where a pressure-relieving top layer is firmly bonded to a supportive comfort core. A cover made from Tencel or a comparable functional fiber supports a balanced sleeping climate. All materials are certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard and suitable for allergy sufferers.

The recycled decorative cover can be removed via a concealed internal zipper and machine washed at 40 °C. The insert with hollow-fiber filling is washable up to 60 °C and retains its shape without sagging. For daily care, vacuuming the surface and spot-cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soapy solution is often sufficient. After each wash, both cover and insert should be completely dry before the dog bed is used again.
