The dog bed is manufactured in Germany from carefully selected materials. The decorative cover is made from a hard-wearing upholstery fabric with a polyester–nylon blend that feels pleasantly soft yet is extremely robust. With over forty-five thousand abrasion cycles and top ratings for lightfastness, rub fastness and pilling, the fabric is designed for daily use. Inner cover and ECO Comfort filling are made from polyester with a core of polyurethane sticks and 3D-crimped siliconized hollow fiber, which ensures breathability, insulation and long-lasting loft. The Ortho mattress itself features a sandwich construction of specialized polyurethane foam, in which a pressure-relieving top layer is firmly bonded to a supportive comfort core to permanently prevent depressions. A 100% waterproof incontinence cover with breathable polyurethane coating and CoolPlus function protects the core from moisture and dirt while ensuring a balanced sleeping climate. All materials are Oeko-Tex certified and suitable for allergy sufferers.

The decorative cover can be removed via a concealed internal zipper and machine washed at 30 °C. The insert with ECO Comfort filling is washable up to 60 °C and remains dimensionally stable without sagging even after repeated washes. The waterproof incontinence cover can be washed at 60 °C and tumble-dried, enabling a high hygiene standard for wet fur, post-surgery recovery or age-related accidents. For daily cleaning, vacuuming the surface and gently wiping with a soft cloth and mild soapy solution is usually sufficient. All textiles should be completely dry before the bed is used again.
